The RTX150 walk-behind trencher from Vermeer is powerful, intuitive and easy to handle.
The RTX150’s steering system is guided by light pressure on the handlebars, eliminating the need for additional steering levels or wheels at the operator’s station.
At 35-inches wide with rubber tires and 34-inches wide with tracks, this trencher is narrow enough to pass through standard residential gates.
Powered by a 20-horsepower Kohler gasoline engine, the RTX150 delivers power to trench through gravel and rock, reaching depths of up to 36 inches with four-inch minimum and six-inch maximum cutting widths.
The RTX150’s heavy-duty hydraulic oil cooler and reservoir manages the operating temperature to increase machine performance and reliability. The trencher’s hydraulic pumps and motors divert power to both the digging chain and ground drive for improved control and productivity.
The RTX150 can be used on a variety of job sites with its interchangeable tires or tracks. The tracks oscillate up to 20 degrees for traction on uneven ground.
Operator safety is protected when the RTX150’s operator-awareness system disengages the trencher’s drive if the operator releases the controls. A trenching cleat restricts rearward machine motion to protect the operator if the digging chain catches on a root or a rock.
The RTX150 chains are solid, precision-ground nickel/chrome alloy steel thimbles with strength and press fit control. Tight clearances, and pin and brushing press fits reduce long-term pitch and elongation over the chain’s life.
