The JLG 450AJ is an articulating boom lift with a horizontal outreach of 20 feet, a platform height of 45 feet and a weight capacity of 550 pounds – that’s enough for two people and tools. The four-foot, one-inch articulating jib enables operators to have finely controlled maneuvers to reach and work around their aerial job site.
Operators have a 30- by 72-inch work platform with a 110-volt built-in receptacle for power tools, as well as 12-volt DC auxiliary power.
The zero-tail swing, four-wheel-drive all-terrain unit is highly maneuverable around job sites, clearing the ground by a foot, passing beneath structures less than seven feet, five inches high.
The 82-horse-power Tier 4 Final diesel engine powers the JLG 45AJ across the job sites at up to 4.5 miles per hour. It also powers the hydraulic system that controls the articulating arm.
The JLG control advanced design® electronics system helps optimize worker productivity providing smooth machine functions, increased fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. The easy-to-read display has diagrams that indicate functional controls to maneuver the boom lift and the unit. Drive control is operated using a right-handed joy stick with an integrated thumb steer, while the lift-swing functions are guided by a left-handed controller. A ground-control console also enables the unit to be operated while the operator is on the ground.
The unit comes with super wide tires for stability and traction, and can also be mounted with foam-filled and non-marking tires for special worksite conditions.
