It’s Hammer Time

When working in close quarters to break up concrete and asphalt, or to drill large holes in a wall, floor or ceiling, the Makita HR4510C rotary hammer will help you get the job done quickly and efficiently.

Makita-HR4510C-imageThe Makita HR4510’s 13.5 AMP motor delivers 1,250 to 2,750 blows per minute (BPM) with active dynamic vibration absorption technology, reducing the stress on the operator, while delivering powerful drilling or hammering results. The RPMs are synchronized with the BPMs in order to prevent overlapping impacts - yielding up to 50 percent more efficient drilling.

Easy and comfortable to use, the Makita HR4510C features a slide lock on the upper handle to easily switch from hammering to hammering with rotation in order to get the best performance for the job. The unit’s variable speed control enables operators to dial in a soft start and increase BMPs. A rubberized soft grip provides more control and comfort while minimizing hand fatigue and pain. A built-in torque limiter ensures that when the drill bit hits against reinforcements it operates to stop.

Loading a bit, the one-touch sliding chuck allows for quick push-in and release, enabling operators to quickly switch bits. The unit also has a 16-angle setting for chisel bits, providing you with the desired breakage angle for your job.

The HR4510C stops hammering when the operator releases the trigger, helping to ensure longer useful tool life.

The HR4510C weighs 18.5 pounds, measures 18 inches long, and has a 16.4-foot power cord. It accepts SDS-Max bits.

It’s important to remember to wear the proper personal protective equipment when using a powerful rotary hammer. Eye protection, such as safety glasses or goggles, cut-resistant and anti-vibration gloves, non-slip and steel-toed safety boots, and earplugs or earmuffs should be worn. When using the hammer for demolition, concrete drilling and chipping, a high-quality dust respirator is recommended.

When you need to break up concrete or asphalt, or drill holes in concrete walls, floors or ceilings, consider the Makita HR4510C rotary hammer.
