Moving building materials around a job site can be made easier with the Gehl RS8-42 telescopic handler.
The material handler’s welded box-section boom design provides best-in-class strength and a maximum lift capacity of 8,000 pounds. The Gehl RS8-42 easily picks up and carries bundles of wood, squares of cinder blocks and pallets of concrete bags across a job site. At the 42-foot maximum lift-height, the operator can raise 3,000 pounds of building materials up to the third or fourth story of a building with outriggers down for extra stability.
The four-wheel-drive Gehl RS8-42 is powered by a 120 HP turbocharged Cummins Tier IV engine, and can travel across a job site at up to 19.6 miles per hour. The selective steering system is also switchable to two-wheel and crab drive for increased maneuverability. At 19 feet long, 8 feet wide and with a 16-inch ground clearance, the material handler has a turning radius of about 14 feet.
The unique quick-attach system enables operators to detach and re-attach standard and rotating carriages, fork shift carriages, swing carriages, log and pipe grapples, jib booms and truss booms.
The operator’s cabin provides ergonomically comfortable legroom and a spacious operating environment. The ROPS/FOPS canopy protects the operator from falling debris, while the operator compartment offers 360-degree visibility for safety and operating accuracy.
