The Powerful Kobelco 210LC-9

Slide into the cab of the Kobelco 210LC-9 excavator and you immediately see space. A lot of it. Compared to previous models, the 210LC-9 has a wide, open view in the front and increased window areas on both sides of the cab and to the rear, offering increased visibility in all directions.

Kobelco SK210-9With an easy entry and exit, the wider cab entry is equipped with an adjustable and reclinable seat, a larger storage space, an air conditioning system, a two-speaker AM/FM radio, a large cup holder and a luggage tray to store personal items. A rear-view camera enables operators to glance at a dashboard monitor to see what is behind the machine. Safety check is also easy with the left and right rearview mirrors and right lower mirror.

The two-hand levers on each side of the seat’s arm rests provide ergonomic control for excavating at a rate of up to 12.5 revolutions per minute, and for swinging at a rate of 12.5 revolutions per minute.

The multi-colored liquid crystal dashboard display shows easily read colored graphic indications – maintenance information, fuel consumption, nibble crusher, breaker, independent travel and heavy lift – enabling the operator to quickly see the excavator’s functions.

The all-weather, sound-suppressed steel cab is mounted on the silicon-sealed viscous mounts and equipped with a heavy, insulated floor mat. Operators are protected from falling debris and roll-overs by the level-2 roll-over protective structure, which exceeds ISO 12117-2: 2008 standards. The tempered glass and protective metal grid FOPS guard on the front area of the roof exceed current OSHA standards.

Digging deeper into the 210LC-9 capabilities, the excavator has a standard maximum 32-foot, six inch digging reach, a 22-foot digging depth, and a nearly 32-foot digging height. The bucket’s digging force with power boost engaged is 35,300 pounds, and a maximum bucket digging force of 28,800 pounds.

Driven by a Tier 4 157-horse-power engine, the 210LC-9 has a travel speed of up to 3.7 miles per hour across a job site.
